Album Reviews (Spring Quarter)

I have only a few for now; I've been listening to lots of music, but none of it is recent so I'm to lazy to review them.

Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown

I'm not sure if I ever rated American Idiot, but that album was amazing, definitly a 9.6/10. This album is a little better. There aren't any 9-minute epic songs, which I miss, but it makes up for it with 18 tracks, and 9 extra minutes. Separated into three acts, each act in itself is a work of art; Heroes and Cons starts out with 21st Century Breakdown, an excellent song, and continues on to...another excellent song. This whole album is just ridiculously good. Some highlights: Viva la Gloria!, Before the Lobotomy, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, 21 Guns, and the last 2 tracks. All extremely good, most of them some of Green Day's greatest songs.

Eminem - Relapse

I wasn't sure I would like this album because of his two singles so far, with their retarded accents, even though the lyrics were great. But I got the album, and it is fricking great. Each song has some innovative lyrical rapping, and each one builds on the next. Really great album, welcome back Slim Shady, we've missed you.
